John Rankin- Destroy Your image
Rankin's process of capturing a photo of a famous person and then proceeding to give the image back to the artist of singer to, well destroy. The artist then had their take on the image projecting their personal image of themselves through the art. In destroying the image the famous person took back the image the public saw of them and shape the view that they see of themselves. This relates to portrait disorder because it is an artistic take on a classic portrait.

Gordon Magdin focuses on the idea that media today is overflown by perfect images and to break the cycle is to break the image. He imposes a section of an image , usually geometric shapes to transform the image. He has a background in architecture and engineering which is clearly shown in his shaped images. This artist links to portrait transformation because it completely changes a portrait and re-invents an image.
